With a steady increase in the number of students, Eastern Kentucky University recognized the need to ensure that its parking and transportation programs met their high standards  now and in the future decade. The staff of CEG was selected to work with the University in developing a Parking and Transportation Master Plan. Our work began with an inventory of parking and transportation assets and utilization of the services. We then examined documents and projections related to future expansion of the campus so the Plan would remain viable for the future. The study process involved considerable input from students, faculty, staff, and administration. Members of the campus community submitted a total of 2,387 surveys. Three public meetings and numerous meetings with representatives of all aspects of the campus were conducted over several weeks. The Master Plan addressed many aspect of the campus community including staff organization, wayfinding, expansion of facilities, shuttle service enhancements, improvements to equipment, and parking space allocation.
